### sec.150DO Qualifications for membership
A person is qualified to be a member of the conduct tribunal only if the person has extensive knowledge of, and experience in, any of the following—
local government;
investigations;
law;
public administration;
public sector ethics.
However, a person is not qualified to be a member if the person—
is a councillor; or
is a nominee for election as a councillor; or
accepts an appointment as a councillor; or
is an employee of a local government; or
is a contractor of a local government; or
is a consultant engaged by a local government; or
is a member of an Australian Parliament; or
is a nominee for election as a member of an Australian Parliament; or
is a member of a political party; or
has a conviction for an indictable offence, other than a spent conviction; or
is an insolvent under administration; or
is a person prescribed by regulation for this subsection.

(sec.150DO-ssec.1) A person is qualified to be a member of the conduct tribunal only if the person has extensive knowledge of, and experience in, any of the following— local government; investigations; law; public administration; public sector ethics.
(sec.150DO-ssec.2) However, a person is not qualified to be a member if the person— is a councillor; or is a nominee for election as a councillor; or accepts an appointment as a councillor; or is an employee of a local government; or is a contractor of a local government; or is a consultant engaged by a local government; or is a member of an Australian Parliament; or is a nominee for election as a member of an Australian Parliament; or is a member of a political party; or has a conviction for an indictable offence, other than a spent conviction; or is an insolvent under administration; or is a person prescribed by regulation for this subsection.
- (a) local government;
- (b) investigations;
- (c) law;
