### sec.150AKA Withdrawing application
The assessor may, at any time before the application has been decided, withdraw the application, in whole or in part, if the assessor is satisfied the withdrawal is in the public interest.
Also, if the office of the councillor is vacated before the application is decided, the assessor must withdraw the application.
If the application is withdrawn under this section, as soon as practicable—
give a notice to the conduct tribunal that states the application is withdrawn in whole or in part and the reasons for the withdrawal; and
give a copy of the notice to—
if the application relates to the conduct of a councillor that was the subject of a complaint—the person who made the complaint, if the assessor has the person’s contact details; and
the councillor; and
the local government.

(sec.150AKA-ssec.2) Also, if the office of the councillor is vacated before the application is decided, the assessor must withdraw the application.
