### sec.59 Initial licence fees
Subsection (2) applies to a licensee who, under section 289 (2) of the Act , is taken to hold a column 2 licence.
The licence fee for the licence for the licence period ending on 30 June 2009, is one-half of the licence fee calculated under section 36.
To remove any doubt, it is declared that section 36(2) does not apply to the licence.
Despite section 36E(b), the day for payment of the licence fee for the licence for the licence period is 2 March 2009.
Despite section 36L(2)(a), the suspension period for the licence period ending on 30 June 2009 is extended to 30 June 2009.
Under section 36L(4), payment of the licence fee during the suspension period ends the suspension of the licence.
