### sec.48 Preservation of confidentiality
Subject to subsection (2) , a person who is engaged, or has been engaged, in giving effect to this Act must not make a record of, or directly or indirectly disclose, information about the affairs of another person gathered in the course of administration of this Act.
Maximum penalty—35 penalty units.
Subsection (1) does not apply to—
disclosing information in compliance with lawful process requiring production of documents or giving of evidence before a court or tribunal; or
disclosing information in the register; or
disclosing information about the status of an application required to be advertised under section 118 (1) ; or
disclosing information about applications under section 121B ; or
disclosing information about the status of an application to the tribunal for a review and the names of the parties to the review; or
doing anything for the purposes of this Act.
