### sec.174AA Production or display of identity card
In exercising a power in relation to a person in the person’s presence, an investigator must—
produce the investigator’s identity card for the person’s inspection before exercising the power; or
have the identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the person when exercising the power.
However, if it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the investigator must produce the identity card for the person’s inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
For subsection (1) , an investigator does not exercise a power in relation to a person only because the investigator has entered a place as mentioned in section 176 (2) (c) or (d) (i) .
Also, subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to an investigator who, after entering a place as mentioned in section 176 (2) (c) or (d) (i) , exercises a power under section 178 (1) (b) , (d) or (e) at the place.
An investigator may enter licensed premises while the premises are open for the conduct of business and covertly film a thing in the place.
