### sec.721 Period stated in previous provision This section applies if, in a previous provision, there is a period for doing something, and the period for doing the thing started before the commencement. If there is a corresponding provision to the previous provision and both the corresponding provision and the previous provision state the same period, the period for the thing continues to have started from when the period started under the previous provision. If there is a corresponding provision to the previous provision and the corresponding provision and the previous provision state different periods— the period stated in the previous provision applies; and the period for the thing continues to have started from when the period started under the previous provision. (sec.721-ssec.1) This section applies if, in a previous provision, there is a period for doing something, and the period for doing the thing started before the commencement. (sec.721-ssec.2) If there is a corresponding provision to the previous provision and both the corresponding provision and the previous provision state the same period, the period for the thing continues to have started from when the period started under the previous provision. (sec.721-ssec.3) If there is a corresponding provision to the previous provision and the corresponding provision and the previous provision state different periods— the period stated in the previous provision applies; and the period for the thing continues to have started from when the period started under the previous provision. - (a) the period stated in the previous provision applies; and - (b) the period for the thing continues to have started from when the period started under the previous provision.
