### sec.679 Establishment of Queensland Law Society
The body corporate in existence before 1 July 2004 by the name of the Queensland Law Society Incorporated as continued in existence under that name by the Legal Profession Act 2004 , section 508 , is continued in existence under this Act.
The body may continue to refer to itself or be referred to as the Queensland Law Society.
The law society—
is a body corporate; and
has perpetual succession; and
has a common seal; and
may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
All courts and persons acting judicially must take judicial notice of the imprint of the law society’s seal appearing on a document and, until the contrary is proved, must presume the seal was properly affixed.
