### sec.592 Staff and other resources
The chief executive must provide the commission with the resources the chief executive considers appropriate for the commissioner to discharge the commissioner’s functions effectively and efficiently.
The commission may, with the chief executive’s approval, consult with, employ and remunerate the Australian lawyers, accountants, auditors or other professionals the commissioner considers necessary to properly perform the commissioner’s functions.
For subsection (1) or (2) , a public service officer may be seconded to the commission.
In this section—
resources includes office accommodation and equipment, staff and administrative support.
staff , in relation to the commission, means the staff that the chief executive provides under subsection (1) and a person employed under subsection (2) .
