### sec.213 Exemption by law society
The law society may exempt an Australian-registered foreign lawyer, or class of Australian-registered foreign lawyers, from compliance with a stated provision under this Act that would otherwise apply to the Australian-registered foreign lawyer or class of Australian-registered foreign lawyers.
An exemption may be granted unconditionally or subject to conditions stated in writing.
The law society may revoke or vary a condition imposed under this section or impose new conditions.
(sec.213-ssec.1) The law society may exempt an Australian-registered foreign lawyer, or class of Australian-registered foreign lawyers, from compliance with a stated provision under this Act that would otherwise apply to the Australian-registered foreign lawyer or class of Australian-registered foreign lawyers.
