### sec.97C Amending an instrument of covenant
A covenant may be amended by registering an instrument of amendment of the covenant.
The instrument of amendment may be registered only if it is validly executed.
However, the instrument of amendment must not—
increase or decrease the area of land the subject of the covenant; or
add or remove a party to the covenant.

(sec.97C-ssec.1) A covenant may be amended by registering an instrument of amendment of the covenant.
(sec.97C-ssec.2) The instrument of amendment may be registered only if it is validly executed.
(sec.97C-ssec.3) However, the instrument of amendment must not— increase or decrease the area of land the subject of the covenant; or add or remove a party to the covenant.
