### sec.35A Fee required to produce document under subpoena etc.
This section applies if a fee is payable under section 35 (1) for a person to obtain a copy of a document and—
a subpoena requires the document to be produced; or
a person has applied under the Evidence Act 1977 , section 134A for the document to be produced for inspection.
Despite any other law or rule of court, the registrar is not required to produce, or provide a copy of, the document until the fee mentioned in section 35 (1) is paid.
Subsection (2) does not apply if a department is not required to pay a fee for the document under an agreement mentioned in section 35 (6) .
