### sec.69 Stay of proceedings
An appeal against a decision of the Land Court affects the decision, or carrying out of the decision, only if the decision is stayed.
The Land Appeal Court may stay a decision appealed against to secure the effectiveness of the appeal.
A stay—
may be given on the conditions the Land Appeal Court considers appropriate; and
operates for the period stated by the court; and
may be revoked or amended by the court.
However, the period of a stay must not extend past the time when the Land Appeal Court decides the appeal.
(sec.69-ssec.1) An appeal against a decision of the Land Court affects the decision, or carrying out of the decision, only if the decision is stayed.
