### sec.18 Appointment of acting president The Governor in Council may appoint a member, qualified to be president of the Land Court, to act as president during— a vacancy in the office of president; or any period when the president is absent from duty or can not perform the duties of president for another reason. - (a) a vacancy in the office of president; or - (b) any period when the president is absent from duty or can not perform the duties of president for another reason.
