### sec.390E Appointment and qualifications
The chief executive may, by instrument in writing, appoint any of the following persons as authorised officers—
a public service employee; or
another person prescribed by regulation.
However, the chief executive may appoint a person as an authorised officer only if the chief executive is satisfied the person is appropriately qualified.

(sec.390E-ssec.1) The chief executive may, by instrument in writing, appoint any of the following persons as authorised officers— a public service employee; or another person prescribed by regulation.
(sec.390E-ssec.2) However, the chief executive may appoint a person as an authorised officer only if the chief executive is satisfied the person is appropriately qualified.
- (a) a public service employee; or
- (b) another person prescribed by regulation.
