### sec.31D Applying for adjustment of reserve The trustee of a reserve may apply to the Minister— to change the boundaries of the reserve; or to change the purpose for which the reserve is dedicated. However, an application to change the purpose for which the reserve is dedicated to another purpose or to add a purpose may be made only if the new purpose is a purpose mentioned in section 31 (1) (a) , (b) or (c) . Before applying under subsection (1) , the trustee must give notice of the trustee’s intention to make the application to each person with a registered interest in the reserve. The trustee may also give notice to any other person the trustee considers— has an interest in the reserve; or would have an interest in the reserve if the boundaries of the reserve or the purpose for which the reserve is dedicated were changed. s 31D ins 2007 No. 19 s 23 sub 2013 No. 23 s 47 amd 2024 No. 12 s 24 (sec.31D-ssec.1) The trustee of a reserve may apply to the Minister— to change the boundaries of the reserve; or to change the purpose for which the reserve is dedicated.
