### sec.48 Judge’s discretion to discharge entire jury
Before the court finishes the final stage of the jury selection process, the judge may discharge all the persons selected to serve as jurors if the judge considers that the challenges made to persons selected to serve on the jury or as reserve jurors have resulted in a jury of a composition that may cause the trial to be, or appear to be, unfair.
If all the persons selected to serve as jurors are discharged, another jury must be selected from the jury panel.
