### sec.44 Time for challenges
A peremptory challenge must be made before the officer assigned by the court to administer the oath begins to recite the words of the oath to the person challenged.
A challenge for cause must be made before the officer assigned by the court to administer the oath begins to recite the words of the oath to the person challenged.
A challenge for cause may also be made during a proceeding under section 47 .
