### sec.13 Practice directions
After consulting with the Chief Judge of the District Court and the President of the Childrens Court, the Senior Judge Administrator may issue directions under the Supreme Court of Queensland Act 1991 about—
The Supreme Court of Queensland Act 1991 , section 51 , deals with the responsibility of the Senior Judge Administrator for the administration of the Supreme Court in the Trial Division. The section empowers the Senior Judge Administrator, among other things, to issue directions about the practices and procedures of the Supreme Court in the Trial Division (s 51(2)).
the preparation of lists of prospective jurors for each jury district and, in particular, how often a fresh list is to be prepared for each jury district; and
summoning and assembling prospective jurors for jury service; and
forming panels of prospective jurors from the available persons who have been summoned for jury service in a jury district so juries may be selected for civil and criminal trials that are to begin in the jury district; and
the criteria for excusing from jury service and the circumstances in which a person may be excused permanently from jury service; and
jury members being informed of the names of the parties and any witnesses to be called.
