### sec.66P Success fee prohibited
A person must not give, or agree to give, to another person (a lobbyist ), or a related person of the lobbyist, a success fee in relation to a lobbying activity carried out by or for the lobbyist.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
A person (a lobbyist ), or a related person of the lobbyist, must not receive, or agree to receive, from another person a success fee in relation to a lobbying activity carried out by or for the lobbyist.

If a conviction is obtained against a person under subsection (1) or (2) , the success fee is forfeited to the State.
If the conviction of a person under subsection (1) or (2) is quashed, a success fee forfeited to the State must be returned to the person.
In this section—
conviction includes a plea of guilty or a finding of guilt by a court even if a conviction is not recorded.
related person , of a lobbyist, is a related person of the lobbyist within the meaning of the Duties Act 2001 , section 61 (1) .
success fee , in relation to a lobbying activity, means an amount of money or other reward the giving or receiving of all or part of which is contingent on the outcome of a lobbying activity.
