### sec.54 Steps after, and taking effect of, decision
As soon as practicable after deciding the application, the integrity commissioner must—
give the applicant notice of the integrity commissioner’s decision; and
if the integrity commissioner approves an application for an entity, update the lobbying register to include the entity as a registered lobbyist.
If the integrity commissioner approves an application for an entity, the registration of the entity as a lobbyist takes effect on the earlier of the following days—
the day stated in the notice;
the day the lobbying register is updated under subsection (1) (b) .

(sec.54-ssec.1) As soon as practicable after deciding the application, the integrity commissioner must— give the applicant notice of the integrity commissioner’s decision; and if the integrity commissioner approves an application for an entity, update the lobbying register to include the entity as a registered lobbyist.
(sec.54-ssec.2) If the integrity commissioner approves an application for an entity, the registration of the entity as a lobbyist takes effect on the earlier of the following days— the day stated in the notice; the day the lobbying register is updated under subsection (1) (b) .
- (a) give the applicant notice of the integrity commissioner’s decision; and
- (b) if the integrity commissioner approves an application for an entity, update the lobbying register to include the entity as a registered lobbyist.
