### sec.52 Inquiry about application
Before deciding the application, the integrity commissioner may, by notice given to the applicant, require the applicant to give the integrity commissioner further information or a document the integrity commissioner reasonably requires to decide the application.
The further information or document must be given—
within the reasonable period of at least 5 business days stated in the notice; or
if the integrity commissioner and the applicant agree in writing to a longer period within which the applicant is to give the information or document—within the longer period.
The applicant is taken to have withdrawn the application if, within the stated period under subsection (2) (a) or the longer period under subsection (2) (b) , the applicant does not comply with the requirement.
The information or document under subsection (1) must, if the notice requires, be verified by statutory declaration.
