### sec.10 Meaning of conflict of interest issue and references to interest or conflict of interest A conflict of interest issue , involving a person, is an issue about a conflict or possible conflict between a personal interest of the person and the person’s official responsibilities. A reference to an interest or to a conflict of interest is a reference to those matters within their ordinary meaning under the general law, and, in relation to an interest, the definition in the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , schedule 1 does not apply. s 10 amd 2013 No. 39 s 110 (1) sch 3 pt 1 (sec.10-ssec.1) A conflict of interest issue , involving a person, is an issue about a conflict or possible conflict between a personal interest of the person and the person’s official responsibilities.
