### sec.17A Severability
Subsection (2) applies if a provision of—
this Act; or
a transfer notice; or
a lease mentioned in section 15A or 15B ;
is held by a court or judge to be beyond power, invalid or unenforceable.
The provision is to be disregarded or severed and the court’s or judge’s decision does not affect the remaining provisions of the Act , transfer notice or lease which continue to have effect.
This section does not affect the operation of the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 9 in any way.
