given to an inspector under this Act or another Act; or

Also, an inspector’s functions include investigating and monitoring compliance with chapter 12 , part 11 .
For subsection (2) , an investigation may be undertaken regardless of whether the registrar has investigated the matter under chapter 12 , part 11 , division 6 , subdivision 8 .
In performing the inspector’s functions, the inspector must, when appropriate, have particular regard to—
the needs of employees in a disadvantaged bargaining position (including, for example, women, people from a non-English speaking background, young people, apprentices, trainees and outworkers); and
helping employees to balance work and family responsibilities.
