### sec.333 Permissible stand-down of employee
An employer may stand down an employee on a day, or for part of a day, when the employee can not be usefully employed because of something that happened—
for which the employer is not responsible; or
over which the employer has no control.
The employer may stand down the employee without pay, unless an industrial instrument provides otherwise.
(sec.333-ssec.1) An employer may stand down an employee on a day, or for part of a day, when the employee can not be usefully employed because of something that happened— for which the employer is not responsible; or over which the employer has no control.
(sec.333-ssec.2) The employer may stand down the employee without pay, unless an industrial instrument provides otherwise.
- (a) for which the employer is not responsible; or
- (b) over which the employer has no control.
