### sec.98 Information request for reports
The commissioner may, by notice given to a public entity, ask the entity to give the commissioner information in the entity’s possession or control, other than personal information that is not publicly available, that the commissioner reasonably requires to prepare an annual report or a report under section 92 .
The notice must state—
why the request has been made; and
the period within which the information is to be given.
If the commissioner asks a public entity for information under this section, the entity must comply with the request unless the entity has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
The commissioner may use information obtained under this section only for the purpose for which it was requested.
