### sec.27A Suspension from office of Hospital and Health Board members
This section applies if—
a matter has arisen in relation to a member of a board; and
the Minister considers that it is necessary in the public interest for the member to be suspended from office pending further consideration of the matter.
The Minister may suspend the member from office for a period not exceeding 60 days by notice in writing to the member.
If the Minister considers it is necessary in the circumstances, the Minister may extend the suspension from time to time by periods not exceeding 60 days, by notice in writing to the member.
The Minister must advise the member by notice in writing if the Minister ends the member’s suspension.

(sec.27A-ssec.1) This section applies if— a matter has arisen in relation to a member of a board; and the Minister considers that it is necessary in the public interest for the member to be suspended from office pending further consideration of the matter.
(sec.27A-ssec.2) The Minister may suspend the member from office for a period not exceeding 60 days by notice in writing to the member.
(sec.27A-ssec.3) If the Minister considers it is necessary in the circumstances, the Minister may extend the suspension from time to time by periods not exceeding 60 days, by notice in writing to the member.
(sec.27A-ssec.4) The Minister must advise the member by notice in writing if the Minister ends the member’s suspension.
- (a) a matter has arisen in relation to a member of a board; and
- (b) the Minister considers that it is necessary in the public interest for the member to be suspended from office pending further consideration of the matter.
