### sec.68 Regulator’s power to exempt particular heavy vehicle from compliance with heavy vehicle standard The Regulator may, by giving a person a permit as mentioned in section 73 , exempt a heavy vehicle from compliance with a heavy vehicle standard for a period of not more than 3 years. An exemption under subsection (1) is a vehicle standards exemption (permit) .
