18 Grounds for complaint
(1) A person may make a complaint about an act or omission to the
commission on the following grounds:
(a) the act or omission contravenes the privacy principles in relation
to a consumer;
(b) the act or omission is a refusal to give access in accordance with
this Act to a health record relating to a consumer;
(c) the act or omission is a refusal by a record keeper of a health
record to give access to the health record under this Act.
(2) A complaint on a ground mentioned in subsection (1) (a) in relation
to a dead consumer may be made whether or not the act or omission
happened in the lifetime or after the death of the consumer.
Note Complaints about unlawful discrimination are made under the HRC Act
(see s 42).
