### sec.78 Power to check applicant’s proof of identity
If an applicant for registration gives a National Board a document as evidence of the applicant’s identity under this section, the Board may, by written notice, ask the entity that issued the document—
to confirm the validity of the document; or
to give the Board other information relevant to the applicant’s identity.
An entity given a notice under subsection (1) is authorised to give the National Board the information requested in the notice.
(sec.78-ssec.1) If an applicant for registration gives a National Board a document as evidence of the applicant’s identity under this section, the Board may, by written notice, ask the entity that issued the document— to confirm the validity of the document; or to give the Board other information relevant to the applicant’s identity.
(sec.78-ssec.2) An entity given a notice under subsection (1) is authorised to give the National Board the information requested in the notice.
