### sec.163 Appointment of investigators
A National Board may appoint the following persons as investigators—
members of the National Agency’s staff;
contractors engaged by the National Agency.
An investigator holds office on the conditions stated in the instrument of appointment.
If an investigator’s appointment provides for a term of appointment, the investigator ceases holding office at the end of the term.
An investigator may resign by signed notice of resignation given to the National Board which appointed the investigator.
Schedule 5 sets out provisions relating to the powers of an investigator.
(sec.163-ssec.1) A National Board may appoint the following persons as investigators— members of the National Agency’s staff; contractors engaged by the National Agency.
