### sec.89A General power to require information
This section applies if an authorised officer reasonably believes—
an offence against this Act has been committed; and
a person may be able to give information about the offence.
The authorised officer may, by notice given to the person, require the person to give the officer information related to the offence at a stated reasonable time and place.
For information that is an electronic document, compliance with the requirement requires the giving of a clear image or written version of the electronic document.
In this section—
information includes a document.

(sec.89A-ssec.1) This section applies if an authorised officer reasonably believes— an offence against this Act has been committed; and a person may be able to give information about the offence.
(sec.89A-ssec.2) The authorised officer may, by notice given to the person, require the person to give the officer information related to the offence at a stated reasonable time and place.
(sec.89A-ssec.3) For information that is an electronic document, compliance with the requirement requires the giving of a clear image or written version of the electronic document.
(sec.89A-ssec.4) In this section— information includes a document.
- (a) an offence against this Act has been committed; and
- (b) a person may be able to give information about the offence.
