### sec.89 Failure to give name or address
A person of whom a requirement is made under section 88 (2) or (4) must comply with the requirement, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
A person does not commit an offence against subsection (1) if—
the person was required to state the person’s name and residential address by an authorised officer who suspected the person had committed an offence against this Act; and
the person is not proved to have committed the offence.
