### sec.114 Reserve power of shareholding Ministers to notify board of public sector policies
The shareholding Ministers of a GOC may notify the GOC’s board, in writing, of a public sector policy that is to apply to the GOC and its subsidiaries if the shareholding Ministers are satisfied that it is necessary to give the notification in the public interest.
The board must ensure that the policy is carried out in relation to the GOC and must, as far as practicable, ensure that the policy is carried out in relation to its subsidiaries.
Before giving a notification under this section, the shareholding Ministers must—
consult with the board; and
request the board to advise them whether, in its opinion, carrying out the policy would not be in the commercial interests of the GOC or any of its subsidiaries.
The shareholding Ministers must cause a copy of the notification to be published in the gazette within 21 days after it is given.
(sec.114-ssec.1) The shareholding Ministers of a GOC may notify the GOC’s board, in writing, of a public sector policy that is to apply to the GOC and its subsidiaries if the shareholding Ministers are satisfied that it is necessary to give the notification in the public interest.
