26 Payment of prize money by cheque or electronic funds transfer
> > (1) A hotelier or registered club must pay so much of the total prize money payable to a person as exceeds $5,000—
> >
> > > (a) by means of a crossed cheque payable to the person, or
> >
> > > (b) by means of electronic funds transfer, if available to the hotelier or registered club, but not earlier than 24 hours after the total prize money becomes payable.

> > Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.

> > (2) If the total prize money payable to a person exceeds $5,000, a hotelier or registered club must, if the person so requests, pay the whole of the total prize money in the same manner as is required under subclause (1).

To avoid doubt, the total monetary value of credits is not subject to any deduction for the value of money inserted into the machine by the player.
