### sec.71 Issue of copy or replacement gaming machine licences—generally
If the commissioner is satisfied that a gaming machine licence has been damaged, lost or destroyed, the commissioner, upon payment of the fee prescribed, may issue to the licensee a copy of the gaming machine licence.
If the commissioner is satisfied the name of a licensee or a licensee’s licensed premises has been changed, the commissioner must issue to the licensee a fresh licence, stating the licensee’s or licensed premises’ current name, to replace the licence (the affected licence ) previously issued to the licensee.
However, the commissioner is required to issue a licence to a licensee under subsection (2) only if—
the fee prescribed under a regulation for the issue of the licence has been paid to the commissioner; and
the licensee’s affected licence has been returned to the commissioner.
A copy of a gaming machine licence issued under subsection (1) , for all purposes, has the same effect as the original gaming machine licence of which it is a copy.
