### sec.258 Ascertainment of age
For the purposes of this Act, an authorised person may, on licensed premises, require another person whom the authorised person suspects on reasonable grounds to be a minor and to be contravening a provision of this Act—
to state all relevant particulars concerning the other person’s age; and
to produce evidence of the other person’s age.

If a person required under subsection (1) refuses to state particulars, or to produce evidence, as to age the authorised person must prohibit the suspected minor from playing gaming machines on the licensed premises.
In this section—
authorised person , for licensed premises means—
the licensee of the premises; or
a gaming employee for the premises; or
another employee of the licensee of the premises; or
an inspector.

(sec.258-ssec.3) In this section— authorised person , for licensed premises means— the licensee of the premises; or a gaming employee for the premises; or another employee of the licensee of the premises; or an inspector.
- (a) to state all relevant particulars concerning the other person’s age; and
- (b) to produce evidence of the other person’s age.
- (a) the licensee of the premises; or

- (d) an inspector.
