### sec.161 Requirement to end key officer’s role
This section applies if—
a key monitoring employee’s licence held by a key officer for a licensed monitoring operator is cancelled or suspended; or
a key officer for a licensed monitoring operator ceases to hold a key monitoring employee’s licence for some other reason.
The commissioner may, by written notice given to the licensed monitoring operator, require the operator to take any action that is necessary and reasonable to ensure the person ceases to be a key officer for the operator within the time stated in the notice.
The licensed monitoring operator must comply with the requirement, unless the operator has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
This section applies to a licensed monitoring operator despite any other Act or law.
A licensed monitoring operator does not incur any liability because of action taken to comply with a requirement under this section.
