### sec.96 Dealing with forfeited things
On the forfeiture of a thing, the thing becomes the State’s property and may be dealt with by the State as it considers appropriate.
Without limiting subsection (1) , the State may—
sell it to its previous owner or a person who had a legal or beneficial interest in it; or
sell it to anyone else (by auction, tender or otherwise); or
destroy it or give it away.
(sec.96-ssec.1) On the forfeiture of a thing, the thing becomes the State’s property and may be dealt with by the State as it considers appropriate.
