### sec.52 Chief executive may erect signs and carry out works
The chief executive may erect signs and carry out works on designated fossicking land and fossicking areas for administrative purposes, hygiene reasons or public enjoyment and protection.
However, if the land is occupied land, the chief executive must not carry out works (other than erecting a sign) on the land without the owner’s consent.
A sign does not affect an owner’s access to the land or prevent the exercise of the owner’s rights on the land.
