### sec.83 Additional penalty based on value of fish taken in trade or commerce
If, having convicted a person of an offence against this Act involving the taking or possessing of fish, the court is satisfied the person took or possessed the fish in trade or commerce, it may, under this section, impose a fine of not more than 5 times the amount calculated by it to be the wholesale value of the fish when they were taken.
The court may impose the fine as well as imposing another fine or penalty prescribed under this or another Act .
The court may regard fish taken or possessed in contravention of this Act to have a wholesale value equivalent to the wholesale value of fish of the same or a similar species or type taken lawfully.
