### sec.56 Application for renewal of authority (other than permit)
The holder of an authority (other than a permit) may apply for its renewal to the chief executive.
Also, a person may apply to renew an expired former authority if—
the person held the former authority immediately before its expiry; and
the application is—
for an authority of the same type, and on substantially the same terms, as the former authority; and
made within 3 months after the expiry.
However, the chief executive may, at any time, extend the period for applying to renew an expired former authority.
An application under this section must—
be made in the approved form; and
be accompanied by the fees prescribed by regulation.
If asked by the chief executive, the applicant must give the further relevant information or evidence the chief executive requires to decide the application.

(sec.56-ssec.1) The holder of an authority (other than a permit) may apply for its renewal to the chief executive.
