### sec.78 Responsibilities of generator
When the generator gives the waste to the transporter, the generator must—
give the transporter the prescribed information about the waste in the prescribed form; and
record the prescribed information about the waste.
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
The generator must give the prescribed information about the waste to the administering authority in the prescribed way and within the prescribed period after giving the waste to the transporter.
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
The generator must keep the record mentioned in subsection (1) (b) for at least 5 years.

(sec.78-ssec.1) When the generator gives the waste to the transporter, the generator must— give the transporter the prescribed information about the waste in the prescribed form; and record the prescribed information about the waste. Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
