### sec.587 Conditions of environmental authority
The conditions of an environmental authority that, under section 586 or 586A, is taken to be an environmental authority (mining activities) are as follows—
the conditions of the authority immediately before the commencement day;
each condition of a relevant mining tenement that, had an environmental authority (mining activities) been granted for the relevant mining activity on the commencement day, would reasonably be expected to be a condition of the environmental authority (mining activities);
any financial assurance condition imposed on the authority under section 598;
another condition prescribed under a regulation.
If under subsection (1)(b) a condition of a relevant mining tenement becomes a condition of the authority, it ceases to have effect as a condition of the tenement.
Subsection (2) applies despite the Mineral Resources Act.

(sec.587-ssec.2) If under subsection (1)(b) a condition of a relevant mining tenement becomes a condition of the authority, it ceases to have effect as a condition of the tenement.
(sec.587-ssec.3) Subsection (2) applies despite the Mineral Resources Act.
- (a) the conditions of the authority immediately before the commencement day;
- (b) each condition of a relevant mining tenement that, had an environmental authority (mining activities) been granted for the relevant mining activity on the commencement day, would reasonably be expected to be a condition of the environmental authority (mining activities);
- (c) any financial assurance condition imposed on the authority under section 598;
- (d) another condition prescribed under a regulation.
