### sec.516 Delegation by chief executive
The chief executive may delegate the executive’s powers under this Act as the chief executive to—
an appropriately qualified—
authorised person; or
public service officer; or
a local government.
However, the chief executive can not delegate the following powers—
the power to ask the rehabilitation commissioner to provide guidance under section 444I (c) ;
a power under a regulation prescribed by regulation as a power that cannot be delegated.
A delegation of a chief executive’s power to a local government may permit the subdelegation of the power to an appropriately qualified entity.

(sec.516-ssec.1) The chief executive may delegate the executive’s powers under this Act as the chief executive to— an appropriately qualified— authorised person; or public service officer; or a local government.
(sec.516-ssec.2) However, the chief executive can not delegate the following powers— the power to ask the rehabilitation commissioner to provide guidance under section 444I (c) ; a power under a regulation prescribed by regulation as a power that cannot be delegated.
(sec.516-ssec.3) A delegation of a chief executive’s power to a local government may permit the subdelegation of the power to an appropriately qualified entity.
- (a) an appropriately qualified— (i) authorised person; or (ii) public service officer; or
- (i) authorised person; or
- (ii) public service officer; or
- (b) a local government.
- (i) authorised person; or
- (ii) public service officer; or
- (a) the power to ask the rehabilitation commissioner to provide guidance under section 444I (c) ;
- (b) a power under a regulation prescribed by regulation as a power that cannot be delegated.
