### sec.444F Removal from office
The Governor in Council may, at any time, remove the rehabilitation commissioner from office on the recommendation of the Minister.
The Minister may recommend the rehabilitation commissioner’s removal from office only if the Minister is satisfied the rehabilitation commissioner—
has been guilty of misconduct, including contravention of the Integrity Act 2009 , section 72D ; or
is incapable of performing his or her duties; or
has neglected his or her duties or performed them incompetently.
The Minister may suspend the rehabilitation commissioner for up to 60 days by signed notice to the rehabilitation commissioner if—
there is an allegation of misconduct against the rehabilitation commissioner; or
the Minister is satisfied a matter has arisen in relation to the rehabilitation commissioner that may be grounds for removal from office under this section.
