### sec.444E Vacancy in office
The office of the rehabilitation commissioner becomes vacant if the rehabilitation commissioner—
completes a term of office and is not reappointed; or
resigns office by signed notice given to the Minister; or
is convicted of an indictable offence; or
is removed from office by the Governor in Council under section 444F (1) .
Also, if the rehabilitation commissioner is suspended by the Minister under section 444F (3) , the office is vacant during the period of suspension.

(sec.444E-ssec.1) The office of the rehabilitation commissioner becomes vacant if the rehabilitation commissioner— completes a term of office and is not reappointed; or resigns office by signed notice given to the Minister; or is convicted of an indictable offence; or is removed from office by the Governor in Council under section 444F (1) .
(sec.444E-ssec.2) Also, if the rehabilitation commissioner is suspended by the Minister under section 444F (3) , the office is vacant during the period of suspension.
- (a) completes a term of office and is not reappointed; or
- (b) resigns office by signed notice given to the Minister; or
- (c) is convicted of an indictable offence; or
- (d) is removed from office by the Governor in Council under section 444F (1) .
