### sec.443 Offence to place contaminant where serious or material environmental harm may be caused A person must not cause or allow a contaminant to be placed in a position where it could reasonably be expected to cause serious or material environmental harm. Maximum penalty— if the offence is committed wilfully—4,500 penalty units or 2 years imprisonment; or otherwise—1,655 penalty units. s 443 sub 2014 No. 59 s 91 - (a) if the offence is committed wilfully—4,500 penalty units or 2 years imprisonment; or - (b) otherwise—1,655 penalty units.
