### sec.314 Existing standard customer connection contracts
This section applies on the FRC day if immediately before that day a contract (the existing contract ) was, under former section 40 or 40AA, taken to have been in force between a customer and a distribution entity for the provision of customer connection services to premises.
The existing contract ends.
The ending of the existing contract does not affect rights or obligations accrued under it before the FRC day.
The customer and the entity are, under new section 40DB, taken to have entered into a standard connection contract for the provision of the services to the premises.
New section 40DB(3) to (6) apply as if the standard connection contract as if were a contract taken to have been entered into under that section.
This section is subject to the retailer of last resort scheme.
