### sec.210 Consideration of application for special approval
The regulator must consider an application for the giving of a special approval and may give, or refuse to give, the approval.
Sections 180 (2) to (9) , 189 (2) to (6) and 197 (2) to (7) , to the extent the provisions are relevant to the proposed activities, apply to the giving of the approval as if the application were for the issue of a relevant authority.
In this section—
proposed activities means the activities proposed to be performed under the special approval.
relevant authority means a generation, transmission or distribution authority the applicant would otherwise be required to hold to perform the proposed activities.

(sec.210-ssec.1) The regulator must consider an application for the giving of a special approval and may give, or refuse to give, the approval.
(sec.210-ssec.2) Sections 180 (2) to (9) , 189 (2) to (6) and 197 (2) to (7) , to the extent the provisions are relevant to the proposed activities, apply to the giving of the approval as if the application were for the issue of a relevant authority.
